Notes
General:
Whilst I was looking for links to part of my family, your entry showing Wi lliam Alfred appeared.
He was a cousin of my Father, and although your entry does not mention i t, he was killed on board an MGB (Motor Gun Boat) at the naval battle of S t. Nazaire March 1942, with the rank of Able Seaman. He was a Gunner, a nd was awarded a VC for his efforts on that day. He is recorded in the Bo ok of Remembrance, in the Hall of Memory, Broard Street, Birmingham ( alth ough I have not read the entry myself).
I am sure that you already have this information, but it would be go od if it were to be added to your site.
Thanks for the help that your site has given me. All the best in your futu re research.
Richard Savage.
